GAWAG

Just read a few bits of Gareth's Blog and was impressed that he is far more honest than I am. Particularly the "waiting for something to happen" feeling. Do read ..... see link on right.

This will also test how long, if ever, it is before Gareth reads my blog.

In fact if there is anyone out there who does read it,
please tell me .......
it's awfully lonely in here!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year

Calling All Nations

So I was in Berlin again this last weekend for a day of prayer and envisioning at at the Olympic Stadium. Once again I felt privileged to be among so relatively few people (200-ish) for such an important event. I come back to the UK as one of the few English people registered as praying for this! I am also therefore daunted by the thought of how I can inspire others in the UK to go to Berlin next summer.

Yes folks - despite or possibly because of TheCall - I am strongly of the belief that this is a vital event for Europe and therefore for the UK.

Meanwhile get your tickets! www.callingallnations.com
More seriously - get in touch if you're interested.

More later.

Why Berlin?

Forget Brussels or Strasbourg,. Berlin is without doubt the "capital" of Europe. It is said that the origin of the name Berlin is "Pearl". Yet it is perhaps the most abused and therefore hardest of the European cities. Having been the focal point of the Imperialistic division, exploitation and abuse of Africa it opened itself to division and abuse.
In the spiritual realm it is vital that the church in Europe focus its prayer and love on Berlin.

Calling All Nations - Global Gathering is not about Germany. It is a call to all the world for the sake of Europe. If we fail to gain\hold Berlin for Jesus, we lose Europe, and with it GB, to the darkness.
That's how serious I think this is.
Perhaps Berlin is God's Pearl.

Sweden December 2005

This trip to Sweden was undramatic yet worthwhile. Great to meet up with so many good friends. I hope that I encouraged!

Disappointing to sense that Boiler Rooms in both Orebro and Stockholm feel as far away as ever and perhaps suffering team fatigue. However there is no sense of disappointment in God. Maybe it is simply wrong to assume that God wants to replicate all over the world.

However I was hugely encouraged by Christer & Kattis Aadland. Some 3 or 4 years ago when I first met Christer he was involved in 24-7 in Stockholm and became part of the Re:Aktor team. But he and his wife also had a vision to move to and take responsibility for a Salvation Army (Fralsingsarmen) centre 45 mins outside the city centre. It is right out in the sticks on a small peninsula called Dragudden. There is accommodation for 70, dining space for even more. So as a retreat or activity centre it is ideal. They need a major input of finance to repair.and develop, but I was impressed by a number of things. 1) They are now living there! 2) They have persisted and gone from vision to potential reality. 3) They are firmly rooted in Jesus, Spirit-filled and seeking direction, open to God speaking in prophetic ways.

Saw Patrik. He gave me a big long hug. He told Kattis that I was 'modelling something in travelling for the sake of relationships'. I was quite touched. He says that the English are ten years ahead in their attitude to ministry. He had met Roger Mitchell in Gothenburg and was impressed that a man of such authority should introduce himself with "Hi, I'm Roger and these are my friends".
